A weekend in Derbyshire where you can learn the quarterstaff
and explore the avenues of knowledge that it offers for developing
physical skill and strength as well as wider awareness and the skilful
use of intention.
This weekend is open to beginners and those with quarterstaffing
experience.
Course Details
The course will be held at Unstone Grange in Derbyshire (see www.unstonegrange.co.uk
for details). We have a camping field and a barn, and will be able
to make a fire and use neighbouring woodlands. The course will start
on Friday evening and finish on Sunday afternoon. Instruction and
meals will be provided.
Bring your own tent and camping equipment.
Bring good shoes/boots and waterproof clothing for outdoor quarterstaffing.
Bring your own staff if you have one (otherwise one will be provided).
If you are aged under 18, you may attend if you are accompanied
by someone aged over 18.
Booking
The cost of the weekend is £65 (£50 for concessions).
A non-refundable deposit of £25 is required for booking a
place on the course, with the remainder due on the weekend.
By booking you accept the following conditions:
- I understand that quarterstaff is a martial art and that training
may involve some risk of personal injury.
- I understand that the course is for men only and that personal
responsibility for one's own welfare needs to be exercised on
camp.
- I understand that any personal injury insurance requirement
is the individual's responsibility to source.
